Halloween Weekend Activities
Its that time of year...when its not unusual to see aliens, Batman princesses and monsters walking the streets and begging for treats. There are some fun activities going on this weekend in Central Illinois.
For family fun many towns are having trick or treating in the afternoon instead of at night. Check out Hometown Halloween downtown La Salle on Saturday. Festivities start at 10 am at Gooding and Second Streets in La Salle. At
Nightmare on Fairgrounds Road
In search of a fright? Nightmare on Fairgrounds Road features: haunted barns, a haunted hayrack ride, a kid’s fun fair, concession stand, bonfire, and souvenirs. Located on Fairgrounds Road behind the Bureau County Fairgrounds in Princeton. Check it out this Saturday from 7pm-9:30pm.
Faint hearted? Check out the Nightmare Hotel. Its fun for all ages for 6pm-8:30pm.

Get into the spirit of Halloween and scare yourself at the Annual Camp Tuckabatchee Haunted Camp! This frightening adventure will have you screaming and shaking in your boots! Not recommended for young children. Concessions will be available. All proceeds will benefit Camp Tuckabatchee. Held from 7:00pm - 10:00pm Friday and Saturday October 28th and October 29th. Pumpkins in the poolKids of all ages can check out to the Bureau County Metro Center on Saturday, October 29th from 5-7pm and harvest a pumpkin out of the pool. After you find that perfect pumpkin you will be able to decorate it with stickers, markers and more! Parents must accompany children under the age of 5 in the pool. Admission is $5. |
